Sponges Car Wash has been an active and involved member of the local community since it’s opening in 1994. Participating in non-profit events, youth sports, school fundraising and national industry fund raisers, Sponges continues to be dedicated to making a difference.

Sponges is proud to give back to the community by supporting local schools. Through the years, Sponges has developed several long-term donation campaigns, resulting in major contributions to the San Ramon Valley School District and the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation. Currently, Sponges donates 2¢ from every gallon of gas sold at the car wash to the SRVUSD. Sponges donations to local education are approaching the $100,000 mark.

Sponges is also proud to participate in e-scrip. This program allows participants to register credit cards and grocery cards, with a fixed percentage of each purchase donated by the merchants to SRVEF. www.escrip.com
Sponges believes in the spirit of volunteerism, and is a supporter of Diablo Magazine’s annual Threads of Hope Awards which honors those who give their time selflessly to help others. Sponges is one of the professional Car Washes across the country teaming up for the third annual Wash U.S.A. event to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation*. This special event will take place on November 1, 2003 and is a unique opportunity for Car Washers and their customers to raise money and awareness for this worthy cause.
